There are a major amount of changes happening in the hardwood flooring market these days and lets face it, it is looking good! 3/4" thick solid woods are becoming more readily available at prices actually affordable so long as they are domestic species of wood. More and More wood products are becoming available to the retail market, allowing a greater variety.
The Lacey Act may have decreased the availability of exotic wood flooring and increased the price, however, this just opened the market on domestic flooring such as Maple, Hickory, and Oak wood flooring products that share similar characteristics as their exotic versions.
